IN THIS COURSE…

Permaculture is a design approach that seeks to create sustainable and regenerative systems in harmony with nature. It consists of a set of principles and practices that guide us in designing ecological and ethical solutions to various challenges.

Within this course you will learn the basics of the three main ethics:

  • People Care

  • Earth Care

  • Fair Share

Within each chapter we will discuss what each ethic means in a modern context and explore the impact of colonization within permaculture as it relates to each ethic.

When exploring permaculture principles, it's essential to consider the lens of decolonization, acknowledging the historical injustices and imbalances that have affected land use, communities, and ecosystems. In this lesson, we will delve into these three ethics of permaculture while emphasizing their connection to decolonization.
